I Saw Her Standing There

Oh my gosh! The day is arrived. Today is the official launch day of Marie Force`s new book, I Saw Her Standing There, from her latest hit series The Green Mountain Series. I have been a huge fan of Marie`s novels over the last four years ever since I read Maid for Love, from the McCarthy`s of Gansett Island series. This is the third book of the series. The first two are All You Need Is Love, and I Want to Hold Your Hand  which were released earlier this year. In the time it took to walk across the small room, Lucy summoned her inner she-cat vixen and prepared to do battle. Unlike the visitor she’d heard Colton talking to outside earlier, this one sounded young. She’d bet there was no lack of women interested in spending some time with her mountain man.

Her mountain man. Where in the hell had that thought come from, and when had she begun to think of him as hers? Probably about five minutes after she met him, if she were being honest with herself.

Realizing she needed to pull out her biggest guns, she tugged the neckline of her dress down to put her considerable cleavage to good use.

She cracked open the door wide enough to poke her head out, but not wide enough that the strikingly gorgeous blonde on Colton’s doorstep could see inside. “May I help you?” Lucy whispered.

Cold brown eyes took a quick assessing look at Lucy and dismissed her as no significant threat. She was used to the instant dismissal as well as the disdainful look. She’d been on the receiving end of it from other women for most of her adult life. “Where’s Colton, and who are you?”

“I’m Lucy, and Colton is under the weather.”

“What does that mean? Under the weather?”

“He’s not well.”

Blondie took a step back. “Oh . . . Who are you again?”

“Lucy.”

“And you’re his . . . his . . . ?”

“Nurse,” Lucy said. “I’m his nurse. I was called in to manage his injury.”

“Injury? What injury?”

“Oh you didn’t hear?” Lucy grimaced dramatically. “The axe caught him. In a bad, bad place. Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but he might not be able to, you know, ever again.”

Blondie’s eyes got all buggy. “Ever?”

“Never,” Lucy said gravely. “It’s as bad as it gets.”

“God, that’s an awful tragedy.”

“Indeed it is. I’ll be happy to tell him you came by, but he’s on some serious painkillers. It might be a while before he’s lucid again.”

“Yeah . . . Um, sure. Tell him Angie was here, and I’m really, really sorry to hear about his . . . um, his injury.”

“I’ll be sure to tell him. It was so good of you to check on him.”

“I’d better go. I wouldn’t want to disturb him.”

“That’s very kind of you. I’m sure he’ll appreciate your consideration.”

Lucy watched Angie run more than walk to her car and smiled with satisfaction when Angie left a cloud of dust in her wake. That, Lucy thought, should take care of that. Pleased with herself and her quick thinking, she shut the door and turned to find Colton standing right behind her.

She let out a shriek of surprise.

My Stupid High School Policy

High school is hard enough

Don`t you think? Is it just me?

Basically everyone agrees with this

People still talk about it

Even after they have left high school

However they is a group of people who do not

I am not sure how big or small this group is

All I know is that this group clearly does not understand

Or maybe they do, but they have forgotten

Or maybe they want to torture us or something

You see, there is this policy at my school

Its a stupid policy, it does not make sense most of of the times, 

But its our own stupid policy

The policy is that if a student misses 2 or more days of schools, he or she loses his or her incentive

Incentive allows the students to exempt 2 finals at the end of the semester

Do not get me wrong, some elements to this policy are amazing, but other parts, not so much

The problem is that this policy does not excuse illness
Unless, you are in the hospital, or something serious like that, which needs hospital help
So, if you have a cold, or something like that, too bad, you have to suck it up
Thats how the Walton Plague wad created
If one kid comes to school sick as in lets say, a cold, then other kids are bound to get sick too
Before you know, everyone one in the entire school is sick
What kind of policy is it? Who made it up? Why is it still here?
All valid questions I assure you, but I do not have an answer to a single one of them.
I can guess and go on a tangent about each one and give you the 411
But then you can get me back on all my points saying that everyone is getting sick
Personally my main question is why does this policy still exist?
Its not fair on the students and franking everyone
Students get the short end of the sick (funny right, death stare result)
So here is what students deal with the sickness, others around them sick, lack of attention,
If students do miss school because their sick well they lose their incentive and are behind
Bottom line is why is the policy here
My opinion- no one cares because every high school student goes through this crap
But can we end this horrible cycle, this horrible same old same old
My answer- I hope, I really hope, cause when that say comes, things will never be the same
Until then, you just have to deal with it
Deal with the sickness, the tiredness, everything
Because we are just students, who have no real power, no real rights,
And until then my stupid high school policy will just have to stay

A Forever After Story

Having Hope

Even at my lowest point
I believe that there is hope
And never give up
There will be times
When you say
I just want to give up
I cannot do this anymore
The pressure is too much
But you have to remember
That there is hope
Whatever that hope is
Hope is different for everyone
It comes in different shapes and sizes
For me, hope is independence
Hope is freedom
Hope is feeling free, living free
Hope is desirableness
Hope is neediness to my wants
Hope is things I want to do
The bottom line is
To never give up
Even when all points are pointing there
Hope is always pointing the other direction
Even when the people you love most
Say that there is nothing for you
Hope is always on your side
Hope is always there for you
So why even think of giving up
When hope is there right by your side
Even when you do not see hope
Hope is always there, watching over you
Hope is that one factor that's always constant
So do not give up
There is always someone, or something by your side

A Rant of Some Kind

I sometimes feel like I need to escape the realities of this world
Because honestly, its a little overwhelming at times
There are constant reminders about our unstable futures
And negative comments about the present
There are days where I just want to scream at the world
I want to through the biggest tantrum and act like a big brat
Maybe that will release my frustrations
I am constantly annoyed by the negatively in my atmosphere
By the conversations that I hear around me
They just do not understand the difficulty that I face
They just say, oh you just have to study to get good grades
What they fail to comprehend is that there is much more to the story
There is more to our lives than the good grades
We as students have to deal with a lot of stuff
Such as getting the good grades, dealing with teachers, handling our hormones
Their come back to this is, oh we have been there
But, the question is have they really
Have they been through the increasing pressure
Have they been through how difficult it is at being successful
Do they get that this generation is harder than the previous ones
That we have more distractions then ever
That we have the most stress, pressure than ever before
I feel so alone in the world at times due to this
And if it was not bad enough, on top of that there is peer pressure
Yes, this term and its consequences definitely exist
Sometimes its confused with competitiveness
I may agree that the term are similar
However there are more differences than similarities
Bottom-line is that we need a break
One day that we cannot mention the uncertainty of the future
One day that we can truly relax without worrying about anything
One day that we can be truly free form this burden
Because that day will be my personal heaven

Learning to Let Go

There comes a point in our lives
When we are faced with a decision
That can change our lives forever
A lesson that will dictate future outcomes
And is the part of learning to let go

I did not say it was easy
Rather, quite the opposite
It truly breaks my heart
When I have to come to these signs
Which tell me what I have in mind
And is the part of learning let go

The decision comes to a few factors
Where you always there for me
 Did you ignore me when I needed you most
These are just a few listed above
 I can go on forever if need to
 But there it is not necessary
And is the part of learning to let go

This lesson I learned came late to me
But, it was one of the most important things
That I learned in my youth
It taught me that you cannot hold on to everything
Because some things are just meant to be
And is the part of learning to let go

We all go through this stage in our lives
When we learn an important lesson
It defines who we are, and have become
It is what makes us different from our past
And is the part of learning to let go

My First Journey to Gansett Island

It happened sometime three years ago. I was laying on my bed finishing a book called French Maid. Since it was a short book, it did not take me that long to finish it up. However, once I finished, I was book-less. I then started to cruise around the free book section on the Kobo website. None of the books caught my attention until Maid for Love. I was instantly attracted to this book because well it was free (lol), the cover page was eye-catching, and the tittle was intriguing. The first thought that jumped onto my head was that it might be similar to French Maid, which I had loved! So, I began the book, Maid For Love...

I do not remember if I finished that book that night or the night after, but I finished the book sometime later. Honestly, at first I did not like the book. Wait! Hold on! Let me explain myself. I did not like the book because to me it was unrealistic ( the son of a major family falling for a maid!), Linda was snobbish and judgmental, Janey was a little judgmental and Tiffany came off as cold and a little too mean. The clicking moment for me happened at the very end of the book. So, Marie lets us have a sneak peek into the next book that is coming out next. In the book Maid for Love, the sneak peek was the clicking moment. I absolutely loved the beginning of Fool for Love.  As the series went on, I started to come around Mac and Maddie. Twelve books later, they are one of my favorite couples in the series. I guess you could say that my first journey had some rough spots, but over the course of the series, I have fallen completely in love with this series. Sure it was not love at first sight, but who cares. All that matters is I am completely obsessed.
