TOO ENCHANTING
A recent contemporary series has come to my attention. As much as I love my current list of author`s book, this girl cannot get enough! The series is called the Lewis Cousins and is written by Bethany Lopez. The series first debuted with its first book, Too Tempting early last year, was followed a few months later with Too Complicated, and then the third book debuted late last year, Too Distracting.
When I find a new series, I tend to look at the author and how many books are in the series so far. Then, I read the synopsis of the first book and see if I am interested in the book. If I am, I read it, if not, then I move on. When I read the synopsis for Too Tempting, I was intrigued, but to be honest I was even more intrigued with the second novel`s, Too Complicated, even more. I actually read the second book first, which was highly unusual for me, but it all worked out.
In another post, I will talk about the first three books of the Lewis Cousins Series, but today`s focus is on the latest arrival Too Enchanting, which focuses on Serena Lewis, who has returned to her hometown of Cherry Springs, after being uprooted by her parents during her childhood. To be completely honest, for me, this book had a slow beginning, but quickly picked up its pace soon after. I have to say that I enjoyed this book, and definitely gave me a different perspective than its predecessors. Basically, it was interesting to read about a character that has returned to her hometown and to see everything in that point a view and to see her cousins still think she is the same person that she was when she left. Anyways, it was a pleasant read and I definitely cannot wait til the next one. Hopefully, its Jazzy`s story!
