Happy New Year...I am a little late...or maybe I am a little early, depends how you look at it...lol. Anyway, the first review book of the year is..(drumroll please)... Duchess by Deception by.... Marie Force! Unfortunately, I have not gotten a chance to get the book quite yet so this review is going to be a little different. Don`t worry, the blurb, book information, and the author`s information will still be listed below. However, since I have not read the book, only have read the blurb, I will be talking about why this particular book is special the author, and why I cannot wait to read it.
I believe in late 2017, Marie announced that she was releasing her first ever historical romance novel in early 2019. Ever since then, I have been waiting for the book to release, now it finally, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. In addition, this is her 70th overall book release, so thats something to too! For me, I have actually read historical romance books in the past, and I have really enjoyed them. Actually, it was Marie`s publishing house (Jack`s House) that lead me to my first historical romance read. I am sure that I am going to absolutely love Marie`s historical romance book because I love historical romance and I love Marie`s writing. What is there not to love?
Anyways, once I do get my hands on this book, I will be doing a full on review, probably sometime closer to the second book`s release. Oh yes, there is going to be a sequel to this book, and maybe it might become a series. The second book releases later this year, so I might do the full review in the summer then.

BLURB:
In New York Times bestselling author Marie Force’s dazzling historical romance debut, the clock is ticking for a wealthy Duke who must marry by his thirtieth birthday—or lose his title...
Derek Eagan, the dashing Duke of Westwood, is well aware of his looming deadline. But weary of tiresome debutantes, he seeks a respite at his country home in Essex—and encounters a man digging on his property. Except he’s not a man. He’s a very lovely woman. Who suddenly faints at his feet.
Catherine McCabe’s disdain for the aristocracy has already led her to flee an arranged marriage with a boorish Viscount. The last thing she wants is to be waylaid in a Duke’s home. Yet, she is compelled to stay by the handsome, thoughtful man who introduces himself as the Duke’s estate manager.
Derek realizes two things immediately: he is captivated by her delicate beauty, and to figure out what she was up to, Catherine must not know he is the Duke. But as they fall passionately in love, Derek’s lie spins out of control. Will their bond survive his deception, not to mention the scorned Viscount’s pursuit? Most important, can Catherine fall in love all over again—this time with the Duke?
